I recently thought that Scout had a yeast rash, but it turns out that her girlie parts are sensitive to the polyester fleece that's in all the pocket diapers she's been wearing. I ruled out detergent build-up as a problem because the rash was happening with new and old pockets alike. Plus, I "stripped" all of our diapers with crazy-hot water and that didn't seem to work either.

I was sad, because I thought I was going to have to get rid of all of our recently acquired BumGenius and Fuzzibunz. But I found a great solution. For some reason, the fleece doesn't bother her bum or surrounding skin - just the front region. I have been laying 100% cotton prefolds inside of her Fuzzibunz and BumGenius dipes instead of stuffing the pockets, and the rash is gone!

We've also been doing a lot of snappi'd or pinned prefolds, fitteds, and wool.
