I Casted On

First cast-on, y'all.
Scout went to bed at 7:00 pm because her nap schedule got all wonky today. After that, I made grilled cheese and roast beef sandwiches, baked beans, and a spinach salad for dinner. After we ate, I learned how to cast on while DH and I sat in the family room and watched the making of Metallica's Black Album.
Yeah, Saturday nights are wild around here. We know how to party like rock stars.

I knit, though it takes me a while to advance to more complicated patterns. I "started" about 3 times before it finally took. However, I thought that this website www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/abbreviations_explained/ was very helpful because it has video. If you're a visual learner, this can be a huge help.
I'm so proud of you I could just burst!
Your Saturday evenings sound a lot like mine. Except for the fact that my kids are usually up until about midnight.
