Still here. Still waiting. I'm not even over-due yet and I already feel like I've been waiting forever. Any time I start feeling a little crampy, I can't help but to get my hopes up that they may lead to something bigger. They always fizzle out, but I take comfort in knowing that they are probably causing some dilation/effacement.

My mom and my grandma will get here sometime ths Saturday morning. Woohoo! I'm excited about them being here for the big event. I'm glad that it will just be DH and I at the birth, but I really do think it will be wonderful having the 2 women that raised me here to pamper me and take care of the house while DH and I enjoy time with our new baby.

I'm the same way- waiting, waiting, and getting my hopes up with the crampiness. Last night I even had like two contractions and was about to get out my notebook to write down times! I guess we are just excited :)

Just remember that while you are feeling huge and miserable your body is nourishing little baby and preparing him/HER for life outside the womb. You will NEVER AGAIN feel this person inside you again, so enjoy every minute. I actually knew when each of my children would be born due to scheduling births, so I knew when my last night of being pregnant would be, and I cherished every internal kick, punch, and wiggle.

Oh, and please promise us that you'll sneak away to update us even when your family is in town. We'll be praying AND wondering what is going on with you and baby!!!

Even though it is cool to have baby inside you like Shawna Lee said...it is sooooo much cooler to have them outside! So I say, go ahead and feel as done as you want to be....go ahead and pray baby comes swiftly...cause for all the hype about being pregnant...holding your baby in your arms is so much more fulfilling than holding them in your tummy! :o)

Are you taking anything like Evening Primrose Oil or red raspberry leaf tea? I don't know if they actually speed things along or not. Washing down an EPO capsule with a swig of tea made me feel like I was doing something besides just sitting around waiting. Like being pregnant isn't being productive enough!
