Another Belly Pic

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Here I am at 26 weeks. I've kind of messed up with my belly pic progression because I'm never wearing the same thing or standing the same way....but I think you can still tell how big I am :)

I wish I would've taken one when I first found out I was pregnant, so you could see what I normally look like. Here's a crummy pic of me @ 12 weeks (I hate how I look in this pic!), just to compare:

We've come a long way, baby!
No stretch marks on my belly yet, but the ones I already had around my hips are definitely accentuated now. I've been rubbing organic coconut oil all over my belly and other areas where stretch-marks may pop up when I'm in the shower. I think the hot water opens up pores and lets the oil soak in better than if I just rub it in dry. One of my friends did this and she didn't get a single stretch mark.....although, I know stretch marks have more to do with genetics than skin care....unfortunately.

Just based on the whole "you can tell the gender by the way you're carrying" wives tale/rule, I am guessing you are having a boy. Yours seems a lot more out front than mine, which seems to be more the pattern with boy babies. Look at my belly pics sometime and you'll see my stomach looks like a barrel. Like the baby is very round and out to the sides.

Of course, I am not an expert or even someone who has given birth, so my opinion will not stand in a court of law.

It's funny you say that- I've had a hunch since the beginning that we're having a boy, but sometimes I second guess myself. My friend who is 38 weeks and is having a boy is carrying hers more out in front too. Hhhhmmmmm....

I can't wait to find out!!! Just 13 1/2 more weeks ;)

Beautiful belly pictures! You are simply glowing! I'm so jealous of the first time moms with their tight baby bellies. :) Mine is saggy and baggy. LOL

You look incredible! Glowing with a beautiful belly bump! :) I'd say BOY all the way. It just looks like a boy-- no doubt about it! Have you considered having a professional photographer take some maternity images?? It's something you'd TREASURE forever... I know it can be expensive, but so worth it. I so wish I had some artsy images of my other pregnancies... but I'm doing it this time around. :) :) THANKS for sharing you and your baby belly!!!!
